What's in a Share?
Our Summer Share runs for 20 weeks from June-October and typically includes about 8 different varieties of seasonal vegetables and herbs each week (around 10 pounds of produce). Most vegetables you can think of will be part of the share one week or another! The favorites (tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, corn, broccoli, etc.) will be distributed multiple times, the lesser known veggies will be given out less frequently, some specialty items will only be included once. 2013 Summer Shares are available in one size only, comparable to last year's "small share", but with greater diversity, and in quantities appropriate for households of 2 adults.
The Winter Harvest Share runs for 14 pick-ups (roughly every other week) from late October through May - right up until the Summer Share begins again. Shares include tons of fresh greens like spinach, kale, lettuce, salad mix, herbs and bunched roots - all from our greenhouses - as well as stored garlic, onions, potatoes, winter squash, carrots, beets and other roots, plus occasional treats from neighboring farms such as fruit, yogurt, flour, cheese, or jam. Eggs are available as an add-on. 2012 Winter Harvest Share can be picked up on Wednesdays in Cambridge (4:30-6pm), Boston (3:30-6pm) and Hadley (3:30-6pm) on the following dates:
