CSA and Office Manager - FILLED FOR 2013
The part time CSA and Office Manager should have great communication skills and a passion for local food to work in our Sunderland farm office. Applicants should be knowledgeable about local farming, possess excellent writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, email software, website updating and social media. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and experience in customer service. Tasks include answering farm email, communicating with current and prospective CSA members, writing CSA newsletter, and managing customer database. The office manager will also assist with other farm-related paperwork and organization of farm events. 20+ hours per week. Starting pay is $10/hour. Summer Production Crew - FILLED FOR 2013
• The Kitchen Garden has 3 part-time summer production crew positions available from mid-May to the end of August. Production crew does planting, weeding and other vegetable production tasks mornings (7am-12 noon), 5 days a week. Pay is hourly, $9/hr.
Apprentices - FILLED FOR 2013
• The Kitchen Garden has two positions available for full-season (April-October) farm apprentices. The apprentice program is designed to provide motivated future farmers on-the-job training in all areas of vegetable production and marketing. Apprentices gain hands-on experience working closely with the farm's owners and management team in addition to regular participation in the CRAFT program. Entry level and experienced farm workers are welcome to apply. Monthly salary starting at $1200/month, 40-50 hours, 5-day work week. On-farm housing available.
Summer Harvest Crew - FILLED FOR 2013
• The Kitchen Garden has 3 full-time summer harvest crew positions available from mid-May to the end of August. Harvest crew works 5 days a week, 40-50 hours. Pay is hourly, $9/hr.
