Winter Markets Tomorrow

Come see us tomorrow at two winter farmers markets in Greenfield and Amherst. We'll have a full spread of winter vegetables, mostly still from the field! Everything has this incredible sweetness from being subjected to repeated frosts, especially the spinach. Plus we'll have our special radicchio tardivo that we force inside like a Beligian endive. This stuff is rarely grown in the US and much milder tasting than other types.
Caroline has been hard at work in the kitchen developing a line of quiches, salad dressings, fruit pies and focaccia. We've been tasting this stuff as she's been working on the recipes, and it's amazing. She's really putting her culinary training to work for the farm! We'll have spinach and caramelized onion tarts, potato and cauliflower focaccia, pear and apple galettes made with fruit from our friends at Clarkdale.
Best of all, she's been working on a Japanese ginger dressing based on her childhood memories of eating at Benihana. It's really spot on, and it's loaded with our carrots and ginger from Old Friends Farm in Amherst.
So come out and see us! We'll be in Amherst 10-2 and Greenfield 10-1.
